Marketplace Assistant (US) Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 29, 2026
Overview
Marketplace Assistant (US) is a Chrome extension for authorized assistants with US-based Facebook accounts. It helps approved assistants sign in, claim prepared listing work, post listings to Facebook Marketplace, and report run status. Completed Facebook listings are tracked so assistants can be paid after completion.
Information We Collect
The extension may collect and process the following information when an assistant uses it:
- Account information, including email address, display name, photo URL, and Firebase user ID.
- Authentication information, including Firebase ID and refresh tokens stored locally in the browser profile.
- Assistant profile and payout preferences, such as payout method and payout username, phone number, or email if provided.
- Prepared listing content, including titles, descriptions, prices, categories, locations, and images.
- Workflow activity, including run status, posted counts, daily caps, Marketplace stats, errors, debug logs, and timestamps.
- Website content needed for the workflow, including Facebook Marketplace form state and audit screenshots captured during authorized runs.
- Marketplace tab URLs associated with run status or audit screenshots.
How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- Authenticate approved assistants and keep their extension sessions active.
- Assign prepared listing work and fill listing forms on Facebook Marketplace.
- Track listing progress, daily limits, earnings, errors, and run completion.
- Upload run audit screenshots and listing-related assets to Firebase services.
- Maintain assistant preferences and provide operational support for the authorized workflow.
Data Sharing
The extension sends data only to Firebase, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication, and Google Cloud Functions services required to operate the assistant workflow. We do not sell extension user data. We do not use extension user data for unrelated advertising.
Local Browser Storage
The extension stores authentication state, pending job state, assistant preferences, results, and debug logs in Chrome extension storage for the signed-in browser profile. Assistants can clear local extension data by signing out, removing the extension, or clearing Chrome extension storage.
Google API Limited Use
Use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
The extension communicates with backend services over HTTPS and uses Firebase Authentication tokens to authorize requests. Access to assistant data is limited to approved accounts and backend rules configured for the assistant workflow.
